Carol Gogan’s Visit to the Bayeux Tapestry in the British Museum in London

On Saturday the 27th September 2026 Carol Gogan and her sisters, Maeve, Patricia and friend Catherine visited the British Museum in London to for a much anticipated viewing of the Bayeux Tapestry. Carol purchased the tickets online on 1st July 2026 when they first went on sale and queued for over three hours on the website, they being the hottest tickets in the UK at that time! The visit overall was wonderful both for viewing the Tapestry and visiting the magnificent museum and will remain forever etched in my memory.

We continue to work on our major tapestry The Boyne in Threads and are on track to have 3 panels completed and on display by the end of 2026.

The Heritage Week Community Tapestry is completed and is currently on display in Dunshaughlin Library until Friday 09/10/26 when the Library closes for renovation. It will move to the Pastoral Centre after that so that all our contributors can see it during the Pastoral Centre opening hours. We are very grateful to everyone who participated.
