Threads of Lore
Founded in 2022, Threads of Lore is a group of passionate volunteers from Dunshaughlin and the surrounding areas who share a love of history, storytelling and traditional needlework. Through carefully researched textile art, the group creates unique public artworks that celebrate Ireland’s rich cultural heritage, connecting communities with the stories that have shaped our landscape for thousands of years.

Launch of Panel 12 of The Journey of the River Boyne in Threads
The completion of the first panel represents countless hours of historical research, artistic collaboration and meticulous embroidery by the members of Threads of Lore. Meeting every Friday in Dunshaughlin Library, the group has worked patiently to transform stories from the Boyne Valley into a richly embroidered work of art that celebrates Ireland’s heritage.

Threads of Lore is made up of volunteers with a wide range of skills and experience. Some are accomplished embroiderers, while others contribute through research, organisation, administration or artistic interpretation.
